Hollywood Wax Museum Facts
The Hollywood Wax Museum-Pigeon Forge is a tribute to America's favorite stars, showcasing them in life-size, life-like wax representations poised to interact with visitors. The Museum gives guests the opportunity to get into the sets with the stars and learn about the charities they support, their pets, pet peeves, and accomplishments. The self-guided tour of Hollywood's elite brings people close to the stars they love for fun photo opportunities throughout.
Film Tribute - Produced exclusively by and for the Hollywood Wax Museum, this action-packed video presentation takes viewers through the major genres of movies and is viewable from the second floor catwalk.
Hollywood Sign - This ground-level Hollywood Sign at the Museum's exit makes an excellent photo opportunity.
Themed Areas - Guests will find superb scenery, sound effects and stars in sports, westerns, horror, music and more.
Photo Opps - Visitors can walk the red carpet with Oscar winners Christian Bale, Natalie Portman, Morgan Freeman and Halle Berry; sit inside Jeannie's bottle; beam aboard the Starship Enterprise; sit with Al Pacino; dance with Michael Jackson; and more. The Hollywood Wax Museum is the longest-running wax museum in the United Sates, owned and operated by the same family since its first location opened on Hollywood Boulevard in 1965.
The Hollywood Wax Museum-Pigeon Forge opened May 11, 2012 after breaking ground in June, 2011. At 22,000 square feet, it is the largest Hollywood Wax Museum, with two floors of celebrity displays. The building honors the film industry and its movie-making capitals with a replica of the Hollywood Sign and a New York City Skyline, complete with The Great Ape of Pigeon Forge. The 40-foot primate houses the Museum's VIP Observation Deck with excellent views of the Great Smoky Mountains. The other major architectural feature is a Hollywood-ized version of Mt. Rushmore.
