Hollywood Wax Museum GM Appointed to Branson Chamber Marketing Council
HOLLYWOOD, CALIF. (September 6, 2011) -- Hollywood Wax Museum-Branson General Manager Chuck O'Day has been appointed to serve on the Marketing Advisory Council (MAC) for the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, according to owner Tej Sundher.
The 17-member Marketing Advisory Council is comprised of community volunteers representing the top ten business categories in Branson and plays a pivotal role in guiding the city's annual $10 million tourism marketing programs. The Council was established in 1989 to offer specific input on marketing campaigns, ad placement and creative presentations aimed at driving tourists to Branson.
"I am honored to serve on the Marketing Advisory Council," says O'Day, a Branson resident for 22 years. "Almost 70% of our residents work in businesses that rely on tourism, so making the right decisions about marketing Branson as a destination is a great responsibility. I'm looking forward to helping the community."
O'Day joined the Hollywood Wax Museum as Marketing Manager when it opened in 1996 and has contributed to the growth of the company and its significance as a tourist draw for the City of Branson. O'Day was promoted to General Manager in May of 2007 and now heads operations at all four attractions in the Hollywood Entertainment Center: the Hollywood Wax Museum, Castle of Chaos, Hannah's Maze of Mirrors, and Shoot for the Stars Mini-Golf.
The Hollywood Wax Museum is located in the center of the Branson strip at 3030 West Highway 76, Branson, MO 65616. For more information, visit www.hollywoodwaxmuseum.com/branson or www.hollywoodentertainmencenter.com.
